September is here and its time to prepare for the 14th Helfa Gelf open studios and art trail. This is the annual event where artists throw open their doors to the public in order to show their work and demonstrate how they create it.
I'm one of 60 artists taking part across North Wales and its the first time I'll be based at my new home at Glasfryn Hall in Caerwys. Its certainly a lot easier to find and park at than my previous home, which was in the middle of nowhere. Not ideal for something like Helfa Gelf and I used to sweat if more than one car turned up at a time.
This year, I'll have around 65 of my paintings on display - originals, prints and canvasses. And of course, I'll be demonstrating how I work with pastels. The kettle will be permanently on if you fancy a break from your tour of studios.
I'll be open from 11 till 4 on the 14th, 15th, 21st and 22nd September. Do pop along and say hello - it would be great to see you. The postcode for satnavs is CH7 5AF. Just look out for the banner!
